Festival 2022
The festival continued to be impacted by covid 19 in 2022. A mini festival was held for Year 11’s and 12’s.

Congratulations to Libby Charlton for receiving the Speech & Drama Teachers’ Association of W.A Queenie Chugg award for achieving the highest Grade 8 Trinity College of London result in W.A in 2015.

Kathryn Riordan (stage name Kathryn Wilder) has just graduated from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and has her professional debut performance in Kenneth Branagh’s Theatre Compnay. She will be appearing in Shakespeare’s “The Winter’s Tale” as Mopsa, and as Joyce Langland in Terence Rattigan’s farce “Harlinquinade”. The Winter’s Tale will screen at Cinema Paradiso and at The Windsor from 30th-31st January 2016.

Congratulations to Jane Gibbs for achieving the outstanding result of 95% for Grade 8 Trinity College London Examination. She was the worthy recipient of the Speech & Drama Teachers’ Association Queenie Chugg award.

The Youth theatre group won the Independent Theatre Association’s Youthfest Competition with the production “The Cagebirds” by David Campton. Julia Jardine won the best actress award of the competition.

The Youth Theatre Group won the Senior Youthfest Competition with their production The Tiger’s Bones by Ted Hughes.

Grace Chapple – winner of the Speech & Drama Teachers’ Association Queenie Chugg award for achieving the top result in WA for Grade 8 Trinity College of London examination.

Congratulations to senior students who all achieved over 80% in their Trinity College of London examinations.

A special congratulations to Adrienne Patterson for achieving 98% for her Grade 7 Trinity examination for which she was awarded a special exhibition award from Trinity for being the highest award for Grade 7 in Australia.

Kim Domleo in Year 8 received one of the 2009 A.M.E.B awards of excellence in Speech.

Congratulations to Jonathon Holborn for reaching the finals of the Storm the Stage competition held at the Burswood theatre on 4th December.

Harriet Roberts (Year 11) Winner of the Speech Teachers’ of W.A Queenie Chugg award for achieving the top Grade 8 Trinity/Guildhall result in W.A.

Jonathon Holborn (Year 12) was selected to perform in the 2009 Drama Perspectives at his Majesty’s theatre.

Kathryn Riordan (Year 12) and Gracie Beck (Year 11) for being two of three WA students to be short-listed in the Bell Shakepeare Theatre Company’s competition.

Gracie Beck (Year 11) and Jonathon Holborn (Year 11) joint winners of Speech Teachers’ of WA Queenie Chug award for achieving the top result in WA for grade 8 Trinity College of London examination.

Gracie Beck reached the final 10 of the Storm the Stage competition.
